Geothermal
Underground Sonic Drilling Services Inc. provides vertical loop installations and horizontal header connections for commercial and residential geothermal projects throughout the province of Ontario.

What We Provide
  • Vertical and angle drilling for closed loop systems
  • In-situ thermal conductivity testing for commercial applications
  • Rock drilling
Including granite, limestone, sandstone & shale
  • Header tie-ins
  • Installation of CSA-C448 compliant polyethylene pipe
  • Test holes
  • State-of-the-art versatile equipment
Our track mounted sonic drill excels in unconsolidated geological formations and can be mobilized on rough terrain
  • Properly grouted boreholes
We grout our boreholes with a tremie line from bottom to top ensuring the continuous coverage of grout around the pipe. This provides the best heat transfer for your loops and protects groundwater aquifers
  • Controlled placement of pipe
We temporarily case our boreholes with the drill string. This prevents the chance of borehole collapse and eliminates the risk of kinking and scraping the pipe upon installation
  • Accurate identification of subsurface conditions
Our continuous core samples can be used to create a geological profile to aid in the most efficient design of your loop field
  • Containment and removal of drill fluids
    - keeping your site as clean and safe as possible
  • Professional and courteous staff
    - ensuring that you receive the highest quality service
